Only You Called Me That

We were in the park with your family. Beautiful summer day, food on the grill, children’s voices in the background. Birds were playing and chirping and flying around. We were laying in the grass, watching a caterpiller nervously crawl across your finger. You replaced it on the ground and we looked at each other. You very quickly kissed my cheek and ran away. Your uncle made a motion that translated to “What the hell are you waiting for?” I realised that I should stop stalling, so I got up and ran after you. By the time I caught up with you, we were on the other side of one of the buildings in the park. We were out of view of your family, and all the little children. Only the birds watched us curiously. You pushed me up against the wall and kissed me furiously. I broke off and tried very hard to hug you. After a few moments of resistance, you gave up. We stood there, listening to the birds and each other breathing. You called me that name that only you can call me.

Tiny Blinking Red Dots

It started off in a swampy area. There was this religious cult going around killing all the children. I, of course, was obligated to stop them. But, even with my grenade launcher and super powers, this was no easy task. First I had to take out that sniper. Even though she looked like an old lady, she had tremendous strength. I tried jamming a stick into the end of the rifle, hoping it might cause it to backfire or something. She fired at me, sending a stick and a high caliber bullet each grazing past my left arm. I was in pain, but I managed to concentrate and bend the rifle into a pretzel shape with my mind. She threw it to the ground. I proceeded to pick it up and beat the old lady with the pretzel gun.

I then left the tower and tried to free several of the chained up children. I followed the dock out of the swamp and onto a path through a wooded area. That’s when I found the grenade launcher. It was one of those fancy ones that has infinite ammo. I hopped into my medium tank and started driving down the road where I quickly encountered more of the cultists. They had a heavy tank, but it was damaged. They were obviously running away from something. I figured I’d take my chances. It was a close battle. I destroyed their tank as mine was smoking with several holes in its armor. It happened that they got out of their tank just before it exploded. There were two cultists facing me, so I got out of the tank. It turned out that they had light machine guns. I ran and hid behind my smoking tank. I ran around the tank several times as they chased me. Eventually they got the idea to split up. I realized this and shot a grenade into one of the holes in the armor in the tank. There was a wild explosion, knocking all three of us to the ground. I got up and ran away as what turned out to be the last of their bullets whizzed past me. I noticed I was in plain sight and they were just looking at each other. I ran up and started hitting them with the grenade launcher, only to find that they were noobs and didn’t know how to use the melee attack. They ran away to their base. That is the exact place I followed them to. It looked remarkably like Bristol Central.

Several of the cultists were outside, smoking. They weren’t in their usual culty looking outfits. I cautiously walked up to them and they saw the grenade launcher and the bloody, charred clothes and assumed I was one of them. I asked one of them if I could borrow his cell phone. I called my commander and told him where the base was hidden. I requested artilary fire and an air strike. That should finish them off. I handed the cell phone back to the cultest and the look on his face was one of shock. As they all realized they were about to be uncomfortably close to an uncomfortably large explosion, I flew away.
