Nanowrimo Has Begun!

2006 1 November 1, 2006 (120061)

For the next month, I have no life. I will be working on my novel called Office Hours. I will be releasing it in chunks on WordPress. So, I have the title down. Just 49,998 words to go. Wish me luck. I’m going to need it. You can find out more about Nanowrimo at nanowrimo.org

What a beautiful town

Miles and miles of empty space

Completely full

Of absolutely nothing

Barren

Desolate

Desperate

No grass on the ground

No stars in the sky

The wind does not blow here

No one comes

No one goes

The air is filled with silence

The silence is filled with thought

The thought is filled with passion

The passion is filled with love

The ground is filled with dreams

The dreams are filled with regret

The regret is filled with rage

The rage is filled with hate

In the center of this town

In the middle of this nowhere

Lies a goddess

Welcome to my town

Welcome to my head

Welcome to my mind

My Heart Beats in Three Four

2006 5 October 5, 2006 (520065)

Deep droning voice. Constant rhythm. Constant Beat. The voice does not waver. The voice embraces the beat. Wrapping poetry around each measure, the voice is confident.

Take flight. Take liberties. Take time. Take place.

The voice beckons. It pulls you in. Entire busloads flock to the station.

The voice shifts and changes. Entire passenger jets, from every imaginable nation.

Crying and writhing. It is waiting and elating.

The bell cries out. The bell cries out. The bell cries out one last time.

It Is Written

2006 3 October 3, 2006 (320063)

Oh, what I’ve seen!

What I’ve seen should not be seen.

It is a world filled with love

And a world filled with hate.

Oh, what I’ve heard!

What I’ve heard should not be heard.

It is a beautiful choir of angels

Singing for the late.

Oh, what I’ve felt!

What I’ve felt should not be felt.

It is a touch filled with passion

And a passion filled with rage.

Oh, what I’ve known!

What I’ve known should not be known.

It is a loss of all virtues

That comes with the coming of age.

Butterfly Crush

2006 28 September 28, 2006 (28200628)

The lights are flooding,
Shifting,
Blinding.

Everything is gone.

The walls are all gone.
Nothing to contain.
Nothing to restrain.

Everything is falling apart.

You can’t avoid the feeling

To destroy something beautiful.

You must embrace the feeling

To destroy something beautiful.

We’ve got a lot to learn;

Now destroy something beautiful.

Unwinding, unbinding

While clenching and wrenching.

Question everything and answer to no one.

Master anything and you might find someone

Waiting.

Get a grip

And hold onto the world.

You will feel

The butterfly crush.
